The Door Holders Association (DHA)
Welcome to the Door Holders Association! The Door Holders Association (DHA) has been established for the purpose of people of all ages performing the kind and simple act of holding doors for others.
Those that are the recipients of this kind gesture are appreciative, and it can change their outlook in a very positive way. Often times, those people will go on to provide that same courtesy to others. Furthermore, those that ‘go that extra mile’ in holding doors on a routine basis, maybe not surprisingly, are the greatest beneficiaries. Simply put, doing something nice for someone makes you feel good about yourself!
Everyone is welcome to be part of the Door Holders Association. Big, small, old and young! Just follow the rules and you are in!
Door Holders Association Rules:
- Use the Five Second Rule – Glance behind you as you approach a door. If someone is within five seconds of reaching, wait and hold the door.
- Smile…It’s contagious – There is nothing wrong with a friendly smile as you hold the door.
- Be Proud, you did something nice – It is okay to pat yourself on the back.
- Repeat Often – The more often you do it, others will follow suit.
