B. A. Colella, a lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, holds a PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Drawing on thirty-five years of firefighting experience, he writes fast-paced action tales that celebrate everyday heroes—ordinary people who rise to confront extraordinary challenges.
